I am a veterinary ethologist interested in the interaction of animal behavior, health, and the human-animal relationship. With my client’s help, I figure out why the problem behavior is occurring and the best way to address it in that person and animal’s unique household.
Academic Degrees, Schools & Dates:B.S. (dual major in biology and chemistry, Capital University
D.V.M., Ohio State UniversityMajor Interest in Animal Behavior:As a veterinarian as well as an ethologist, I'm interested in how each dog and cat, their people, and their unique physical and mental environments influence the animal's behavior. Once I and they understand what's contributing to the dog or cat's negative behavior(s) and sometimes related health concerns, then we work together to find the best solution that meets animal and human needs. One advantage of being older is that I know from experience that each human-animal relationship is special , even when animals (or their people) do things that don't work for one or both of them.
