Interest in Animal Behavior
I have had a special interest in animal behavior for many years. It started when I was young attending my local 4H Club. I participated in obedience training and dog showing with my Labrador Retriever, Savannah, and my Dachshund, Amoum. Now that I am a veterinary professional, I see an increasing need in my area for trainers and behavioral consultants to support pets and their families. This in turn will nurture and strengthen the human-animal bond, and decrease the number of animals returned to rescues and shelters.
Biography
I started in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant in 2014. I felt like I was called to this profession from a young age. Since then I have pursued my Veterinary Technician License, and am currently working towards a VTS in Behavior. I enjoy being active in my community, and supporting organizations that I am passionate about. I am taking the Professional Dog Training program through Karen Pryor Academy 8/2026-2/2027, then I hope to work with my veterinarians to bring behavioral consulting and behavioral modification opportunities to my practice.
