Spotlight On Sponsors

CattleDog Publishing is the self-publishing company founded by the late Dr. Sophia Yin, named after her beloved family Cattle Dogs.  She published The Small Animal Veterinary Nerdbook, Low Stress Handling, Restraint and Behavior Modification, Perfect Puppy in 7 Days, and How to Behave So Your Dog Behavesthrough CattleDog.  Dr Yin also developed a library of lecture and instructional DVDs to educate about Low Stress Handling and dog training, and developed a Low Stress Handling Certification program.
Sophia leaves a legacy through CattleDog Publishing, which is still growing.  It is based in Davis, California, with a regional office in Tuscola IL.  Dr Sally J. Foote is now executive director, keeping the mission of educating veterinary professionals, trainers and animal owners so they understand what motivates an animal to bring out the best behavior through trust in every interaction.  Decreasing the stress during veterinary care through low stress handling technique education was Dr. Yin’s passion, which lives on in our courses, DVDs, and books.
CattleDog Publishing products are available at DrSophiaYin.com and at 530-757-2383.  Dr Foote can be contacted at  [email protected] if you have suggestions or ideas for products and veterinary outreach.  She looks forward to seeing you at the Clinical Animal Behavior Symposium!

Power of Friendship Dinner to Honor Sophia Yin
Saturday, December 10th, Las Vegas
You are invited to a dinner honoring Sophia Yin, sponsored by Cattle Dog Publishing and the VIN Vets 4 Vets Program/Sophia Yin memorial fund.  The dinner will be held on Saturday evening, December 10th, at a restaurant near the Oquendo Center.  This dinner will be honoring her life by gathering her colleagues and friends together to learn ways of preventing personal tragedies in our profession.  A speaker will educate us about the Power of Friendship, how we can be positive and solution-minded in supporting each other, especially with the personal and financial challenges faced by those in the veterinary field.  Information on registering for this event will be shared on our website when it becomes available.
