- Profile
I do behavior consultations, both in office and in the home, for both dogs and cats. I’ve been involved in dog training and dog sports for over 35 years. I spent three years studying behavior at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine with Dr. Bonnie Beaver. I work with a wide variety of behavior issues, including aggression, anxiety, reactivity, repetitive behaviors, issues involving senior pets, house soiling, destructive behaviors, plus a variety of training issues. My background in dog sports gives me a unique perspective when helping with behavior and training issues that involve performance dogs. I’m certified in Low Stress Handling and have a special interest in teaching Cooperative Care. This involves teaching dogs and cats to participate in their own care & husbandry, reducing the stress involved in medicating, doing nails, getting on the scale to be weighed, etc. I also teach group puppy classes.
